Medical School, Korean ICU Nurse

I was a small, premature baby and, although my medical problems were not severe, they did involve frequent visits to hospital in my early childhood.  So I became used to the environment of a hospital and observed the staff in the way that only a child can. I saw that some nurses and doctors did thei…

MD, Underserved, Serving Minorities

Sweat profusely ran down his face and dizziness clouded his world. Though he was not feeling well, he ignored these signs and the repetitive, “Daddy, are you okay?” for the fear that he would display any sign of weakness in front of his children. After several hours of denial, his body gave the fina…

MD Admission, Volunteer Medical Worker

Too young to volunteer in a hospital yet too old for summer camp, I was determined not to idle away my first summer as a high school student. Undaunted and striving to help my community, I inquired about our local nursing home. My grandmother refused to enter the brown building with me, unable to in…

Med School, American, Raised on a Farm

I heard the familiar sound of the back door closing gently. My father was returning from driving his dirty, green John Deere tractor in one of our fields. Although he begins his day at 5:00 a.m. every morning, he usually returns at around 7:00 p.m. I never really questioned his schedule when I was a…

Bilingual Spanish, Urban Hispanic Community

"Call 911!" I shouted to my friend as I sprinted down the street. The young Caucasian male had been thrown fifteen yards from the site of impact and surprisingly was still conscious upon my arrival. Working together as a team we strive to create the best personal statement possible, to give you an advantage over other applicants to Medical School. I am an experienced professional who has read and edited thousands of  Personal Statements and Statements of Purpose. Most editing services only focus on the technical aspects of the statements: grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Instead, I consider the more important aspects; personal tone, flow, and content. Most importantly, I help you express your creative ideas with respect to your long term goals and your contribution to humanity and society.

The final product of my editing may be the beginning of your professional success, a solid investment in your future.

Personal Statement Help for Admission to Medical School: My Central Strategy

My philosophy concerning the quest to get accepted to medical school turns on two fundamental assumptions. First, my research shows that medical school admissions committees are dedicated to selecting applicants that they are convinced will be among those most likely to make major contribution to access to medical care for the underserved. In other words, they want to provide the additional training and experience not to those most likely to serve themselves, but to those applicants that make a convincing case for their--at least long term--goal of helping some of the neediest people on the planet. Second, I assume that diversity is a plus. I am convinced that your ethnic background and professional experiences in a foreign country, or one's country of origin, are of critical importance to your application. These factors can be powerful assets if they are portrayed in an eloquent essay with an effective structure and agile transitions. I would like to help!
